After an emotional and impressive 2025/26 season, Schalke officially sealed their return to Germany’s top flight and celebrated the achievement in front of their home fans in Gelsenkirchen last Sunday. Schalke promotes as champion of Germany's second league.

Historic ELF Championship Game at VELTINS-Arena

For the ELF, Schalke’s return to the Bundesliga also brings back memories of one of the biggest events in league history.

In 2024, the European League of Football Championship Game was played at Schalke’s iconic home stadium, VELTINS-Arena, where 41.364 football fans from across Europe came together to witness the crowning of ELF champion number four.
