Division Details West - A divison of contenders?
The European League of Football’s South division will be one to watch in 2025 as it features the Stuttgart Surge, Cologne Centurions, Frankfurt Galaxy, and Paris Musketeers. The combined record for these teams last season was 31-17 making the West division one of the league’s toughest.
The Stuttgart Surges: 2024 Record 11-1
The Surge only dropped one game in the regular season last year as they dominated the 2024 Central Conference. The 2023 runner-ups fell short again to the Rhein Fire in the postseason losing in overtime of the semi-final at home. Many fans expect the Surge to be back in the thick of the title hunt next season.
The Paris Musketeers: 2024 Record 10-2
The Musketeers enter year three of the teams following their first ever playoff appearance. Paris defeated the Munich Ravens in a 40-37 shootout before losing to the Vienna Vikings in the Semi-finals. After the departure of head coach Marc Mattioli, Paris is still searching for its next head coach.
The Cologne Centurions: 2024 Record 6-6
The Centurions know the Galaxy and Musketeers well as they were in the 2024 Western Conference together in 2024. So far the off-season in Cologne has been quiet they continue to search for a new head coach.
The Frankfurt Galaxy: 2024 Record 4-8
The Galaxy will be led by new head coach Bart Andrus in 2025 as Thomas Kösling moves into a front office role. The Galaxy are bringing back quarterback Matthew McKay as well as looking to improve their offensive line by adding Keanu Ebanks. They also return Steven Nielsen and bring back former “rookie of the year” Gerald Ameln.
