Cooperation with HSV continues: Hamburg Sea Devils return for an ELF home game on July 14, 2024 to the Volksparkstadion

The ELF, the Sea Devils and HSV have agreed to continue their successful partnership in the 2024 season.

For the Sea Devils' management, team and fans, it was an event they will probably never forget: The duel in the European League of Football with the eventual champions Rhein Fire became the biggest game in Hamburg football history: 32,500 fans came to the Volksparkstadion, experienced top-class sport and a magnificent event. So, it's no wonder that the ELF, the Sea Devils and HSV have agreed to continue their successful partnership in the 2024 season. On July 14, the Sea Devils will return to the "living room" of the traditional soccer club for a home game.

A wonderful atmosphere

"We are delighted to be able to host another European League of Football match in this outstanding setting and once again offer football fans in Hamburg an absolute highlight. After the premiere last summer, everyone involved was absolutely delighted with the atmosphere in the Volksparkstadion - everything was just right. It fills us with pride that we can continue our cooperation with such a strong partner as HSV, and we are already looking forward to July 14, which will be a festive day for European football," says Zeljko Karajica, Managing Director of ELF.

"A perfect stage"

"This is great news. The Volksparkstadion offers a perfect stage for the ELF. Our sport has impressively proven that it is big enough for the biggest stadiums. I think that many of the fans who experienced the Sea Devils' game against Rhein Fire last June will be there again - and I can only recommend every football fan not to miss this highlight of the 2024 season," emphasizes ELF Commissioner Patrick Esume.

A return for one of the best

For Miguel Boock, the new sports director of the Sea Devils, the Volksparkstadion is associated with great emotions. After ending his active career in 2022, he was officially made his farewell during the game against Rhein Fire and celebrated in style by the 32,500 fans: "That was a highlight of my football career. Now I will do everything I can to ensure that we put a strong team on the field and deliver a spectacle for the spectators."
