Cologne Centurions strengthen both offense and defense
The Cologne Centurions continue building their roster for the new season. Before announcing their new quarterback, Jeremy Moussa, they signed three key players: Dennifred Adom, Michael Ofosuhene, and Jai-Albert Jackson.
Running back Dennifred Adom is back with the Centurions after playing for them last season. In 2023, he appeared in seven games, rushing for 168 yards and one touchdown. With Gerald Ameln joining Frankfurt Galaxy and Emil Fuchs moving to Berlin Thunder, Adom could have a bigger role in the upcoming season.
The Centurions also add strength to their defense with the return of Michael Ofosuhene. He is an experienced ELF player who has been with the team since the league’s first season. After an injury-plagued rookie year, he became an important part of Cologne’s defense. Last season, he played in ten games, recording 16 tackles and four pass breakups.
For Ofosuhene, this return is more than just another season—it’s about building something special. "As a kid born and raised in Ghana who moved to Germany, Cologne has always been my second home," he said. With head coach Jay returning, he felt it was the right time to come back. "I’ve mostly been a solid role player for the team, but I’ve grown to become one of the best homegrown CBs in the league, and I’m ready to showcase it this season."
Jai-Albert Jackson is also back with the Cologne Centurions. The British defensive lineman already played for the team in 2023. After spending a season with the Barcelona Dragons and Hamburg Sea Devils, he is now returning to Cologne. In 11 games last season, he recorded 55 tackles, 5 sacks, and 7 tackles for loss.
With these signings, the Centurions are preparing for a competitive season in the ELF!
