Cologne Centurions sign former Houston Texans wideout Connor Wedington

It’s one of the biggest signings that went under the radar this off-season. With their first Import player signing, the Cologne Centurions and head coach Gregg Brandon have picked up former Houston Texans’ wide receiver Connor Wedington. The 1,82m tall pass catcher is a former Stanford alumnus and previously also worked out for the San Fransisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks. It was the second former NFL-signing in one day – together with new Panthers' wideout Matt Cole.

Happy faces on both sides

General Manager Christoph Lörcks is happy to proceed next season with Wedington: "It's great that we were able to win Connor for the Centurions. With his experience, he will strengthen us decisively on the pitch and support our homegrown talents in their further development."

With Stanford as the Senior, Wedington was the Team Captain, making 15 catches for 157 yards. Getting an All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention in 2019 and 2021, the Tacoma born athlete excelled on and off the field, now getting his chance to show off his skills in the ELF.
