Coach Shuan Fatah and German national team part ways

Shuan Fatah will no longer be head coach of the German national football team. The German American Football Association has announced that they are parting ways. This was the result of a federal meeting of all German state associations.

The decision is based on the high demands placed on the position, says the AFVD. In a statement the AFVD explains, that they want a coach who is fully focused on the national team.

Fatah held the position on a voluntary basis and recently led the national team to two impressive victories against Sweden and Great Britain. Since this offseason, he is head coach of the Hamburg Sea Devils.

"Unbelievable to fire the best German coach because of his choice of job. But at least it clearly shows that it's not about football, but about their own agenda", comments ELF Commissioner Patrick Esume.

AFVD Vice President Andreas Kegelmann says: "We would like to thank Shuan Fatah for his successful voluntary work and wish him all the best for the future."
