Bravos trample Mercenaries to keep playoff hopes alive

The Madrid Bravos are currently trying to separate themselves from the pack and secure a playoff spot. They put the rest of the league on notice this weekend with an absolute battering of the winless Helvetic Mercenaries.
Madrid Bravos (6-3) @ Helvetic Mercenaries (0-8): 61-6
The game opened up with both sides putting together a couple of pedestrian drives that ended in punts. However, this was immediately followed by a one-sided scoring bonanza led entirely by the Bravos.
Madrid quarterback Reid Sinnet was clinical, completing 19/23 for 276 yards and four touchdowns in just three quarters. Granted, he rarely had to drive more than 50 yards as his defence allowed just three Mercenaries drives of more than 10 yards, but when he was called upon, he delivered.
This resounding victory will keep the Bravos' playoff hopes alive in spirit as well as in the standings. For the Mercenaries, it's once again back the drawing board.
