The Madrid Bravos have made a major addition to their coaching staff. Terry Malone, a highly experienced American coach, is joining the team as their new Offensive Line Coach. He will work under Head Coach Dave Warner and contribute more than 30 years of coaching experience at the highest levels of football.

Returning to the ELF stage

Fans across the European League of Football will already recognize Malone from the 2025 season, when he worked with the Raiders Tirol as Assistant Head Coach. During his time in Innsbruck, he played a key role in developing the offensive unit and contributed valuable leadership to the coaching staff.

A long coaching journey

Malone began his coaching career in the early 1980s and steadily worked his way up in college football. One of the most important stops in his career came at the University of Michigan, where he worked with the offensive line. During his time there, Michigan won the prestigious Rose Bowl in 1998.

Proven success in the NFL

After building his résumé at the college level, Malone moved to the NFL. From 2006 to 2014, he served as Tight Ends Coach for the New Orleans Saints. His time in New Orleans included the franchise’s historic championship run, capturing Super Bowl XLIV.

When his NFL chapter ended, Malone returned to the college ranks, coaching at programs such as Purdue, Bowling Green, and Western Michigan, where he continued to develop young talent on offense.

A strong move for Madrid

With Terry Malone, the Bravos add a coach who has worked with championship-level organizations and knows what it takes to build a successful offense. His experience and knowledge are set to play a key role in improving the Bravos’ offensive line unit.

Under Dave Warner, Madrid aims to take the next step toward becoming a top contender in European football, and bringing Malone on board shows the seriousness of that mission.
