Berlin Thunder sign former NFL-kicker Dominik Eberle
The Berlin Thunder made a transfer coup in the signing of former NFL-kicker Dominik Eberle. The Nuremberg born athlete played for several teams in the National Football League, including the Las Vegas Raiders, Carolina Panthers or Detroit Lions, while signing a deal with the Seattle Sea Dragons in 2023. In College, Eberle was a part of the Utah State University, breaking many school records from 2015 to 2019. Eberle is set to replace former Thunder kicker Jonas Schenderlein in the German capital.
As one of the few German players having played in the NFL, the 27-year-old could be a real weapon for the Thunder in all parts of the special team. With Jakeb Sullivan under center, the team of Johnny Schmuck has the goal to do another play-off push.
