The Berlin Thunder have signed American defensive lineman William Lydle. Lydle was one of the ELF’s top interior defensive lineman last season for the Cologne Centurions. Now he returns to the ELF this time joining the Berlin Thunder

In 12 games, he recorded 60 tackles, 7.5 sacks, 19.5 tackles for loss, and forced 3 fumbles. Lydle was named a second team all-star for his 2024 performance. He was also voted the #6 of the ELF’s Top 100 Players for 2024.

Lydle hopes to give the Thunder’s defense a boost as they head into week one against Lydle’s former team the Cologne Centurions. He is also playing for his former head coach Jag Bal who was with him in Cologne last season.
