Week 10 has been played and the decisive phase of the European League of Football season has begun. Who will make it into the play-offs and thus into the "Road to Gelsenkirchen", where this year's Championship Game will take place in the legendary Schalke Arena?

 

So far, only Vienna and defending champions Rhein Fire have already clinched a playoff spot. Two old acquaintances in the playoffs. A total of ten teams have been in the ELF playoffs so far: Hamburg, Frankfurt, Cologne, Wroclaw, Tyrol, Barcelona, Berlin, Stuttgart and Rhein Fire. Four of these teams have made the playoffs twice: Hamburg, Frankfurt, Wroclaw and Vienna. No team has made the playoffs every year since 2021.

Two new names in 2024 playoffs?

The previous winners are: Frankfurt Galaxy (2021), Vienna Vikings (2022) and Rhein Fire (2023). All of them were winners of their respective Conference in the regular season. The Hamburg Sea Devils have reached the final twice, but were narrowly beaten twice.

So far in 2024, it looks like two newcomers could appear in the playoffs: the Paris Musketeers and the Madrid Bravos.
