All-Star safety Luke Glenna joins the Nordic Storm

The Nordic Storm continue to collect talent, this time signing former all-star defensive back Luke Glenna. The Minnesota native becomes the fourth third American player signed by the Storm this off-season as they prepare for year one in the ELF.

Big reputation

in 2023, Glenna was a DPOY nominee his first season in the ELF making an impressive 137 tackles and 79 solo stops to go along with four interceptions for the Barcelona Dragons, earning him 1st team all-star honors.

In 2024, the 24-year-old had arguably a better season, this time suiting up for the Madrid Bravos. Glenna made 76 tackles and had 5 interceptions as he helped the Bravos make the playoffs in their first ever season.

All-American NCAA career

Before coming to the ELF, the 180 cm and 85 kg defender was a standout at St. Thomas University earning All-American Honors and conference DPOY. Glenna led his team in  tackles in both 2021 and 2022, and had 13 interceptions during his collegiate career at St. Thomas, alongside two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

His four interceptions, 36 solo tackles and 10 pass deflections also earned him FCS Defensive Player of the Year as well as a selection into the FCS All-American 2nd Team during his senior season.

A Storm is brewing

Glenna joins a Storm secondary that already recently signed British defensive back Chad Walrond and former Rhein Fire and Vienna Vikings standout Exavier Edwards. The Storm still have one American import spot left waiting to join MVPs Jadrian Clark and Glen Toonga on the offensive side of the ball.
