2025 ELF Honors Predictions: Special Teams Player of the Year
Alex Malchow

As the regular season is finishing up in only three weeks let's being to take a look at some of the players who may be going home with some hardware at the 2025 ELF Honors show in September.
Special teams can often be overlooked by the average fan. But real fans of the ELF know that these handful of plays can be the difference between a win and loss. With the importance of special teams stated lets begin with the predicted canidates of one of the year's most tightly contested award races.
Here my predictions for the 2025 ELF special teams player of the year:
Devan Burrell - Helvetic Mercenaries
The “2024 Special Teams player of the year” has three return touchdowns on two kick returns and one punt return this season. He still led the league in return yardage with 1,249 yards and a long of 103. Can he bring home the award for two seasons in a row?
Bijon Harris - Frankfurt Galaxy
The defensive back has only come back to the ELF 3 games ago, but has already made a huge impact scoring three punt return touchdowns and recovering an onside kick. Imagine if he had been playing for the Galaxy all season. Is the small sample size enough to warrant this pretigous award?
Willie Patterson - Prague Lions
Patterson’s ability to change the game as a punt returner has been special. he has three return touchdowns on punts and has forced teams to kick away from him on kickoffs. This play in this phase of the game has been a huge part of the Prague Lions turn around this season.
Jonata Loria - Raiders Tirol
The Italian kicker and former NFL IPP prospect has probably been the league’s best kicker hitting 6-9 field goals and strong 90.48% on extra points.
