EURONICS Deutschland eG once again demonstrates special flair in the area of sports sponsoring. With immediate effect, it is supporting the European League of Football as an official technology partner in the 2023 season and thus a sport that is currently experiencing a great hype. The retail group is thus further expanding its strategic footprint in the field of sports marketing and aims both to promote young talent at European level and to get even more people, as well as its own customers, excited about the sport.

The ever-growing fanbase of American football is currently experiencing enormous popularity and the European League of Football is the only professional platform in Europe that caters to this enthusiasm. Perfect conditions for EURONICS, one of Europe's leading electronics retailers: "We are proud to be an official sponsor of the European League of Football, which is dedicated to promoting this sport. We have chosen this cooperation because our company shares the values of the sport and in order to further strengthen the league as well as to expand its presence on the European market. At the same time, this is anexcellent opportunity for EURONICS to reach new target groups and increase awareness of our brand," says Benedict Kober, Spokesman of the Management Board of EURONICS Deutschland eG.

For maximum impact: Extensive sponsoring combinedwith strong marketing and POS campaigns

The European League of Football will kick off its third season on June 3 with a total of 17 teams from nine nations - eight of them from Germany alone. 29 games will be broadcast live in Germany on free-TV on ProSieben Maxx and a total of 107 games on Pay-TV, and across Europe on streaming platforms or via the Game Pass on the league’s homepage or app. Zeljko Karajica, Managing Director of the European League of Football: "We are delighted to have EURONICS, one of the largest technology retailers in Europe, at our side. As a European company, EURONICS is just as interested in an international orientation as we are. For us, the partnership means entering into a sustainable connection that fits perfectly with the European League of Football!"

Premiumpartner EURONICS can be seen here with virtual logo overlays directly on the pitch, the LED boards as well as branded equipment of the coaches. Furthermore, the branding of the retail group will also be transported via the app, the online and social media channels of the European League of Football. In addition, EURONICS will be displayed before all highlight videos and live broadcasts as part of the Game Pass. Of course, the company is flanking all of this with independent marketing activities as well as attractive promotional offers for its customers - on euronics.de in the Meine EURONICS app and at the POS.

Recognizing, promoting and fully developing potential in sport: the EURONICS strategy.

With its commitment to the European League of Football, EURONICS is seamlessly continuing its extremely successful and still on going cooperation with UEFA. The international retail group got it exactly right in 2021 when it signed the four-year contract for UEFA women's soccer and made national goalkeeper Almuth Schult its brand ambassador: viewer numbers for the 2022 European Championship increased by 101 percent compared to 2017.

EURONICS Deutschland eG also wants to play an active role in the league's fledgling success story in its collaboration with the European League of Football: "The partnership with the European League of Football is a forward-looking building block in EURONICS' strategy to once again become more involved in the world of sports and, in doing so, is also an innovative way to strengthen our own brand and prepare ourselves for future developments in sports sponsorship. Away from this, we want to support the league and young athletes and give them the opportunity to show their skills at European level. The European League of Football and its international approach, as well as the close ties between the teams, are important in driving the development of the sport on our continent," says Jochen Mauch, Chief Marketing, Sales and Digital Officer.
