Offensive Coordinator Patrick Griesheimer re-signs with the Frankfurt Galaxy for 2023

After quarterback Jakeb Sullivan was introduced three weeks ago, Patrick Griesheimer is back as the coach of the Frankfurt Galaxy offense for the 2023 season.

Offensive Coordinator Patrick Griesheimer re-signs with the Frankfurt Galaxy for 2023

After quarterback Jakeb Sullivan was introduced three weeks ago, Patrick Griesheimer is back as the coach of the Frankfurt Galaxy offense for the 2023 season.

The Frankfurt Galaxy is bringing back offensive coordinator Patrick Griesheimer for 2023, as well. Griesheimer will serve as a full-time coach for the Frankfurt Galaxy, while also serving as an assistant head coach to Thomas Kösling in addition to his offensive coaching duties.

Long road to the Championship

Griesheimer began his coaching career in 2003 as head coach and offense coach of the Rüsselsheim Razorbacks youth team. After that, he went through several stations with the Wiesbaden Phantoms and the Frankfurt Universe. Since 2021, he has been working as an offense-coach for Frankfurt Galaxy and together with head coach Thomas Kösling won the Championship in the first year of the newly founded European League of Football.

Head coach Thomas Kösling: "I am very happy to continue working with Patrick. It is important to have continuity and we are noticeably growing closer together from year to year. He is an absolute expert in his field, and I appreciate him very much. As assistant head coach, he will get even more responsibility and help us achieve our goals."

Patrick Griesheimer: "I am happy and thankful that Coach K and the Galaxy organization have given their confidence in me for next season as well. To play at this level, in this league, for our fans and with these players is just a lot of fun. I will give everything to do my part to make sure we're back in the finals next year."
