Key matchups of week 12: Jadrian Clark battles his ultimate opponent and more

The European League of Football goes into the hot phase of the season. Week 12 will show superiority and playoff entrances.

DE Kyle Kitchens vs OL Francis Bongwalanga

Riding on a seven-game win streak, the Hamburg Sea Devils are the favorite to win Sunday’s game. But Thunder defensive end and potential back-to-back Defensive Player of the Year Kyle Kitchens might have to say a word in that. Leading the league with 12.5 sacks and 25 tackles for loss, the American will be the win condition for the Berlin franchise. Standing in his way is Sea Devils left tackle Francis Bongwalanga. The Englishman is playing an impressive season in his own right and will be in Kitchen’s face all day long.

QB Jadrian Clark vs. Frankfurt Galaxy

After the 2021 Championship Game, which Clark lost with his Sea Devils, he now faces Frankfurt Galaxy again. A Frankfurt Galaxy that continues to rely on Jakeb Sullivan and a strong defense. Jadrian Clark seems rehabilitated. His weapons more numerous, his decision-making better. He put in a terrific performance in the final. The revenge could and should be successful in front of more than 10,000 spectators.

WR Malik Stanley vs CB Roedion Henrique

Malik Stanley has been the one big constant for the Wrocław Panthers offense. Ranking fourth in receiving yards (790) and third in receiving touchdowns (10), the Louisiana Tech alumni is Slade Jarman’s go-to guy. Standing across from him will be former New Mexico State Aggie Roedion Henrique who is one of the few bright spots on a disappointing Kings team.

A matchup between two players who have strong cases to make the European League of Football All-Star team is something to keep an eye on during the game.

RB Joshua Mack vs Raiders Defensive Line

After having pretty much no rushing game for weeks, Joshua Mack resurrected the Cologne Centurions. Being a threat in the rushing as well as the passing game, Mack was the missing puzzle piece for a Centurions offense that already had many weapons in place.

After putting up back-to-back 100+ yard games, Mack will face a defensive line consisting of some of the best players Europe has to offer, including former Stanford Cardinal Thomas Schaffer. Will Mack put on another show, or will the Raiders shut him down for the first time.

RBs Conwell & Pasqualini vs Dragons front seven

Although the Stuttgart Surge are 0-9, their running back duo might just be one of the best in the league. Running backs Jalen Conwell and Philéas Pasqualini will face the Dragons, while bringing their best running performance of the season so far against the Raiders. However, the Surge's offensive line will have to solve the Dragons' strong rush and pursuit.

QB Isaiah Green vs QB Jackson Erdmann

They are two very different athletes. Isaiah Green is able to decide the game over his legs. Jackson Erdmann is the better pocket passer. But who is capable of seizing the defense? Both Erdmann and Green have shown they can exploit weak spots. Playing the Vikings like the Dragons would certainly help Isaiah Green who tries to help his team win their second game.
