The European League of Football already announced four new franchises that will join the league in 2023. Amongst those teams, the Fehérvár Enthroners will be part of the best American football league in Europe from Hungary.

So far, the Enthroners have announced any moves regarding their plans for the 2023 season. In an interview, Bóka answered a lot of critical questions regarding their first season in the European League of Football. 

How far along are the Hungarian Enthroners with their preparation for the 2023 season?

[...] Of course serious work is going on in the background as we are preparing at full throttle for the 2023 season in the European League of Football.

The recruitment of the top Hungarian players is at the fore front of our program, but of course we have already contacted quite a few American and European players too. During the course of the 2022 European League of Football season, we were able see the talent level and the high-quality of the matches that took place. We are currently working hard to rise to the challenge of being competitive members of the league.

As the general managers for the Enthroners, how do you plan to acquire players? Are combinations already planned?

We will hold a tryout after the European League of Football Championship Game. The exact date is 8th October 2022 and the location is the First Field in Székesfehérvár. 

We welcome both Hungarian and foreign players, too. We have seen during the European League of Football season how important it is for the teams' rosters to be deep enough, as there was a lot of roster moves for all teams week by week. We are currently hard at work scouting players both here in Hungary and all over Europe. 

What is the Enthroner's approach on game days? Will you have a pre-game party and in what form? What can the fans expect?

Fortunately, we have a great and organized fan-base. So, there have been many spectators at our matches for years and we are sure that their number will only increase next year due to the European League of Football. 

Our home games have been real family events for years: we have cheerleaders and a marching band as regular guests at the matches, but of course we are preparing many surprises for our fans next year.

What are the next steps for the Enthroners in the coming weeks and months?

We have very hard weeks and months ahead of us! We are renovating our stadium, the First Field, which is our home venue. The facility includes a field turf surface for practice and training, another grass center field dedicated for the games, a modern and well-equipped gym/weight room which meets all needs, and most importantly: all of these belongs exclusively to the team, we don't have to share it with any other soccer team which is a great opportunity to progress the players abilities and unique in Europe. 

We have to build a new team and a new coaching staff in the next few months. All the new franchises want to strengthen themselves as much as possible and become honourable members of the league, so there is a serious fight for the best players in Europe. We cannot be left behind in this ’arms race’. However, it is certain that some people doubt our team’s place in the European League of Football because we are joining the best football league in Europe from a smaller city with less resources. 

Inspite all of this, we are confident that the Enthroners football program is one of the most innovative and most exciting ones of the current European League of Football franchises and we can't wait to show who we are to Europe!
