The call for tickets for the 2023 Championship Game of the European League of Football continues nonstop: on Friday morning, the mark of 20.000 tickets sold for the final of the "Champions League" of European football on September 24 in the Schauinsland-Reisen-Arena in Duisburg was reached. Some stands in the stadium are already sold out, and only a small contingent is still available for price category 2. The third season of the continental league starts on June 3rd with 17 franchises from nine nations.

"When this news reached me, I had goose bumps right away. It's just a great feeling that the European Leagueof Football is being received so strongly by the community. You have to remember that we only have two seasons in the books and are a young league that is still in its starting blocks. We really appreciate this confidence in our event. One thing is clear: In Duisburg, we'll all be celebrating a huge football happening together," says Commissioner Patrick Esume, who will be reporting from the Super Bowl in Glendale, Arizona, on Sunday as a commentator and expert for ProSieben.

Tickets for the Championship Game in the 30.000-seat Schauinsland-Reisen-Arena, which is currently two-thirds full, are available exclusively via Ticketmaster for as little as 20 euros.

Which teams will ultimately prevailin the regular season and the playoffs is completely open. What is certain, however, is that league CEO Zeljko Karajica and Commissioner Esume will present the European League of Football trophy to the winner after the Championship Game in Duisburg. Who will follow Frankfurt Galaxy (2021 in Düsseldorf) and Vienna Vikings (2022 in Klagenfurt), who each won the final against Hamburg Sea Devils?

"We are very proud that 20.000 fans have already secured their ticket for the Championship Game in Duisburg - almost four months before the first game! This is a huge incentive for us, and we are working hard to improve in all areas and deliver an even better product. The league is growing from twelve to 17 franchises, the competition is getting tougher, and the level is rising," says CEO Karajica.

In addition to Berlin Thunder, Hamburg Sea Devils, Frankfurt Galaxy, Cologne Centurions, Leipzig Kings, Rhein Fire, Stuttgart Surge (all Germany), Vienna Vikings, Raiders Tirol (both Austria), Panthers Wrocław (Poland) and Barcelona Dragons (Spain), six new teams will join the league: Munich Ravens (Germany), Milano Seamen (Italy), Prague Lions (Czech Republic), Helvetic Guards (Switzerland), Fehérvár Enthroners (Hungary) and Paris Saints (France).
