Vienna Vikings announce Generali Arena as homefield for 2022 season

The Vienna Vikings found their home for the first season in the European League of Football!

The Vienna Vikings announced the Generali Arena in Vienna as their homefield for the 2022 season in the European League of Football, as officially reported by the franchise.

“I am extremely happy that we found our homefield for the first season in the European League of Football”, Vikings president and CEO Karl Wurm commented. He added: “The Generali Arena was our top choice from the beginning on […]. Today, we take an important step for everyone whose hearts bleed purple, but also for Austrian football and our beautiful city of Vienna!”.

The Generali Arena was built back in 1925 but the it was restructured in 2008 and again from 2016 to 2018. As of today, the stadium can accommodate 17,500 fans and will be home to one of the two Austrian franchises in the European League of Football.
