On September 26th 2021, the final match of the first European League of Football season will take place. In order to make the journey and stay as pleasant and safe as possible for all visitors, this newsletter provides an overview of all travel and arrival options as well as all COVID-19 protection measures that currently specified by the state government of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Information about the event

We are required to wear a medical mask at our events. According to the regulation of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, this requirement also applies to outdoor events with more than 2500 visitors. In addition, the 3G-rule applies to sporting events as well. Visitors must therefore show proof of complete vaccination, proven recovery or a valid test result. You must also bring a valid identification document (ID card or passport) to the event. All valid rules and requirements can also be found in the Infection Protection Ordinance of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Arrival & start of the game

‍Kick-off for the match will be at 2:45pm. Admission to the stadium will begin at 1pm. An official European League of Football Fan-Huddle will begin around the stadium at 11am! At the admission to the MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA, the 3G-rule will be controlled, so we ask you to arrive at the stadium early to ensure the smoothest possible admission. Tickets do not have to be personalized anymore.

Important: 3G means (fully) vaccinated, recovered or tested. Confirmation is urgently required for all three options. Inidivdualals are fully vaccinated when they received all required vaccinations. They have either received a required second vaccination or have been vaccinated with a vaccine that provides full vaccine protection even if vaccinated once. As of the 15th day after the last vaccination, you are considered fully vaccinated.

Status "tested": PCR tests may be taken no more than 48 hours before entry and PoC rapid tests no more than 48 hours before entry as well. Self-tests must be done under supervision and are only valid for 24 hours.

Both an electronic confirmation (CovPass or Corona-Warn app) and an analog confirmation letter (vaccination certificate, health certificate or certified test certificate) are accepted on site. An identification document (valid ID card or valid passport) is required to confirm proof. Enrollment using the LUCA app or alternative programs is not required. Masks are mandatory in the queuing areas, indoor promenade and toilets of the event site. All fans will be checked by trained staff at the turnstiles before they are allowed to enter the event and with all necessary hygiene measures.

Information on VIP ticketing

Direct car access to VIP access is via the P7 parking garage.

VIP access without a car: You can access the VIP check-in via the main entrances (North and South). There you will be guided to your seating area by stadium staff.

Arrival by train or subway

‍
If you are arriving by train, the Rheinbahn line U78 offers a direct connection from Düsseldorf main station to the MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA. The travel time from the main station to the stop "MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA/Messe-Nord" is about 15 minutes. Information about the exact train connection and a price information can be found on the websites of Rheinbahn and VRR. You can also obtain information and valid tickets via the DB Navigator app (download from Google Play) or the VRR app (download from Google Play).

Arriving from the airport

If you are travelling from the airport, we recommend taking a cab to the MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA. The journey time is approx. 15-20 minutes. If you need an exact price information, we recommend the cab calculator.

Arrival by car

For all visitors arriving by car, we recommend the freeway exit AS29 "Düsseldorf-Messe/ Arena" on the A44 freeway. From there you can get directly to the MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA. It is also possible to travel via federal roads and other freeways. You can find an overview of the freeway connections here.

Arrival by bike

If you plan to the Location by bike or motorcycle, please use the bicycle stands and motorcycle parking next to the roundabout near the banks of the Rhine. 

COVID-19 safety measures

Entry from the Netherlands

Should you enter from the Netherlands please note the registration requirement. For the form, please click here. Furthermore, you must carry proof of complete vaccination, recovery or a current negative test result. PCR tests may be performed a maximum of 72 hours before entry and PoC rapid tests a maximum of 48 hours before entry. Self-tests must be performed under supervision and are also only valid for 48 hours.

Entry from high incidence areas

Should you enter from a high incidence area, a general quarantine obligation applies, which can be terminated at the earliest after five days by a negative test result. Exceptions to this are:

·       Fully vaccinated persons

·       Persons who have been proven to have recovered

·       Persons staying in Germany for a maximum of 24 hours

Am 26. September 2021 findet das Endspiel der ersten European League of Football Saison statt. Um allen Besuchern die Anreise und den Aufenthalt so angenehm und sicher wie möglich zu gestalten, liefert dieser Newsletter eine Übersicht über alle Anfahrts- und Anreisemöglichkeiten sowie alle derzeit von der Nordrheinwestfälischen Landesregierung vorgegebenen Corona Schutzmaßnahmen.

Informationen zur Veranstaltung

Bei unseren Veranstaltungen besteht die Pflicht zum Tragen einer medizinischen Maske. Diese Vorgabe gilt nach Verordnung des Landes NRW auch bei Veranstaltungen im freien mit mehr als 2500 Besuchern. Auch gilt für Sportveranstaltungen die 3G-Regel. Besucher müssen also einen Nachweis über eine vollständige Impfung, eine nachweisliche Genesung oder ein gültiges Testergebnis vorlegen. Auch müssen Sie zur Veranstaltung ein gültiges Ausweisdokument (Personalausweis oder Reisepass) mitbringen. Alle gültigen Regeln und Vorgaben finden Sie auch in der Infektionsschutzverordnung des Landes NRW.

Anreise & Spielstart

Spielstart

Anpfiff für das Spiel wird um 14:45 Uhr sein. Der Einlass ins Stadion beginnt um 13:00 Uhr. Ab 11:00 Uhr beginnt rund um das Stadion ein offizielles European League of Football Fan-Huddle! Beim Einlass in die MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA wird die 3G-Regel kontrolliert, daher bitten wir Sie, schon frühzeitig am Stadion zu erscheinen, um einen möglichst reibungslosen Einlassgewährleisten zu können. Tickets müssen nicht mehr personalisiert sein.

Wichtig: 3G bedeutet (vollständig) geimpft, genesen oder getestet. Für alle drei Varianten ist eine Bestätigung dringend erforderlich. Vollständig Geimpfte sind Personen, die alle notwendigen Impfungen erhalten haben. Sie haben entweder eine erforderliche Zweitimpfung erhalten oder wurden mit einem Impfstoff geimpft, der auch bei einmaliger Impfung den vollen Impfschutz bietet. Ab dem 15. Tag nach der letzten Impfung gilt man als vollständig geimpft.

Status „getestet“: PCR-Tests dürfen dabei maximal 48 Stunden vor der Einreise und PoC-Schnelltests maximal 48 Stunden vor der Einreise vorgenommen werden. Selbsttests müssen unter Aufsicht durchgeführt werden und sind ebenfalls nur 24 Stunden gültig.

Sowohl eine elektronische Bestätigung (CovPass oder Corona-Warn App) also auch ein analoges Bestätigungsschreiben (Impfpass, gesundheitsamtliche Bescheinigung oder zertifizierter Testnachweis) werden vor Ort akzeptiert. Ein Ausweisdokument (gültiger Personalausweis oder gültiger Reisepass) wird zur Bestätigung des Nachweises benötigt. Ein Einschreiben mit der LUCA App oder alternativen Programmen ist nicht notwendig. In den Anstellbereichen, Innenpromenande & WCs des Veranstaltungsgeländes herrscht Maskenpflicht. Alle Fans werden vor Einlass und mit allen notwendigen Hygienemaßnahmen von geschultem Personal bereits an den Drehkreuzen kontrolliort, bevor sie das Event besuchen dürfen.

Informationen zu VIP-Ticketing

Die direkte PKW-Zufahrt in den VIP-Zugang erfolgtüber das Parkhaus P7.

VIP Zugang ohne PKW

Über die Haupteingänge (Nord und Süd) finden Sie ihren Zugang in den VIP Check-In. Dort werden Sie zu ihren Sitzplatzbereichen durch Stadionpersonal geführt.

Anreise mit der Bahn/U-Bahn

Sollten Sie mit der Bahn anreisen, bietet die Rheinbahnlinie U78 eine direkte Verbindung vom Düsseldorfer Hauptbahnhof bis zur MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA. Die Fahrzeit vom Hauptbahnhof zur Haltestelle „MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA/Messe-Nord“ beträgt ca. 15 Minuten. Informationen über die genaue Zugverbindung und eine Preisauskunft finden Sie auf den Webseiten der Rheinbahn und des VRR. Ebenfalls können Sie Auskunft und gültige Fahrscheine über die DB Navigator App (Download bei Google Play) oder die VRR App (Download bei Google Play) erhalten.

Anreise vom Flughafen

Sollten Sie vom Flughafen aus anreisen, empfiehlt sich die Anreise mit einem Taxi zur MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA. Die Fahrzeit beträgt ca. 15-20 Minuten. Sollten Sie eine genaue Preisauskunft benötigen, empfehlen wir den Taxi Rechner.

Anreise mit dem Auto

Alle Besucher, die mit dem Auto anreisen, sollten die Autobahnausfahrt AS29 „Düsseldorf-Messe/ Arena auf der Autobahn A44 nehmen. Von dort aus gelangt man direkt zur MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA. Auch die Anreise über Bundesstraßen und andere Autobahnen ist möglich. Eine Übersicht über die Autobahnanbindung finden Sie hier.

Anreise mit dem Fahrrad

Sollten Sie mit einem Fahrrad oder Motorrad anreisen, nutzen Sie bitte die bereitstehenden Fahrradständer. Die Stellplätze für Fahrräder und Motorräder befinden sich neben dem Kreisverkehr in der Nähe des Rheins.

Corona Bestimmungen

Einreise aus den EU-Nachbarländern

Sollten Sie aus den EU-Nachbarländern einreisen, gilt eine allgemeine Anmeldepflicht. Diese können Sie hier vornehmen. Weiterhin müssen Sie den Nachweis einer vollständigen Impfung , einer Genesung oder eines aktuellen negativen Testergebnisses mitführen. PCR-Tests dürfen dabei maximal 72 Stunden vor der Einreise und PoC-Schnelltests maximal 48 Stunden vor der Einreise vorgenommen werden. Selbsttests müssen unter Aufsicht durchgeführt werden und sind ebenfalls nur 48 Stunden gültig.

Einreise aus Hochinzidenzgebieten

Sollten Sie aus einem Hochinzidenzgebiet einreisen, so gilt eine allgemeine Quarantänepflicht, welche frühestens nach 5 Tagen durch ein negatives Testergebnis beendet werden kann. Ausnahmen hierfür sind:

·      Vollständig geimpfte Personen

·      Nachweislich Genesene Personen

·      Personen, die sich maximal 24 Stunden in Deutschland aufhalten
