Top Signings of the Week – Vikings extend hometown hero

Do you wonder what players were the real steals this past week? Then this is just the right place for you!

The European League of Football heads towards its third season. All 17 franchises are looking for the best players available in Europe and from around the world. But what franchise won this past week with its mind-blowing signings?

There were not a lot of signings this past week. But two players that were introduced by their teams are going to be difference makers!

Musketeers sign versatile playmaker

The Musketeers are on the list again. The French franchise has surprised with another signing. American defensive back Cam Hilton has signed with the Musketeers after suiting up for the San Francisco 49ers at minicamp in 2019.

The 26-year-old has played for the University of Missouri from 2015 to 2018. As a freshman, he started as a wide receiver but quickly converted to play defensive back. Hilton also lined up as a returner which makes his him so useful for the Musketeers this season. By having an American import player who is potentially able to contribute on all three phases of the game, the Musketeers now have the ability to keep opposing teams on their toes.

A hometown hero returns to the Vikings

Hello again to another great extension by the Vikings. I know this is slowly but surely getting out of hand, but the Vikings’ front office keeps extending and signing important pieces to their roster for a back-to-back run at the Championship Game.

This week, the Austrian franchise has extended their defensive end Leon Balogh who is one of the few homegrown players with production and impact like an import player. Those signings are extremely valuable for teams which is why he has to be on my list this week.

Balogh was responsible for seven sacks, over ten tackles for loss, and 39 total tackles in twelve starts last season. Look out for him to have another impressive year with a great team that looks poised for another postseason run in 2023.
