Next big TV stage for the European League of Football: ORF broadcasts the "Battle of Austria" and two other ELF matches live

The European League of Football is entering the next big TV stage! The organisers of the "Champions League" of European football have agreed on a cooperation with Austrian Broadcasting, which will show three ELF games involving the Vienna Vikings and the Raiders Tirol live on ORF Sport+ during the 2024 season. This is an enhancement to the already existing broadcast agreement with PULS 24 in Austria.

"This is great news for all football fans in Austria and, of course, for our league, which is once again setting a milestone. We are very pleased to be able to present another strong partner in distribution with ORF, with whose help we can offer the ELF to a wide audience on free TV", says Zeljko Karajica, Managing Director of the European League of Football.

"The ELF has taken the hearts of football fans in Europe by storm"

The "Battle of Austria" will kick off on 6th July (18:00 CET), when the Raiders Tirol host the Vikings at Tivoli Stadium in Innsbruck. On 17th August (17:55 CET), the Viennese team will face the Fehérvár Enthroners from Hungary and on 25th August (16:20 CET) the Raiders Tirol will play the Munich Ravens.

"The ELF has taken the hearts of football fans in Europe by storm and is also arousing great interest in Austria. With the Vienna Vikings and the Raiders Tirol, there are two strong teams in the running that can now also be seen in the form of live games on ORF; both teams will be broadcasted live twice each on ORF Sport+," says Johannes Aigelsreiter, Head of Sport at ORF.

The fourth ELF season has been running since the end of May. With Berlin Thunder, Hamburg Sea Devils, the reigning champion Rhein Fire, Frankfurt Galaxy, Cologne Centurions, Stuttgart Surge, Munich Ravens (all Germany), Paris Musketeers (France), Milano Seamen (Italy), Raiders Tirol, Vienna Vikings (both Austria), Panthers Wroclaw (Poland), Madrid Bravos, Barcelona Dragons (both Spain), Prague Lions (Czech Republic), Fehérvár Enthroners (Hungary) and Helvetic Mercenaries (Switzerland), 17 teams from nine nations are competing. They are all united by one big goal: the 2024 Championship Game on 22nd September in the VELTINS-Arena of the traditional football club FC Schalke 04 in Gelsenkirchen.
