Top 100 Players of 2023, Nos. 40 - 31: Rhein Fire domination
The Top 100 Players of 2023 will be reveiled more and more every two days in the month of November. We will be releasing the Top 100 graded players of the season 2023 according to SportsMetrics. The grades reflect the individuals performance on the field.
Reece Horn was the Frankfurt Galaxy’s most productive offensive weapon in 2023. The former NFL player led the team with 61 receptions for 875 yards and eight touchdowns, leading the Galaxy to a playoff berth.
Joachim Christensen is arguably the best center that has ever played in the ELF. The Rhein Fire center pieced together another dominant season, earning him his third First-Team All-Star selection of his ELF season.
After a good 2022 season, Harlan Kwofie played an amazing 2023 season. The 24-year-old German recorded career-highs with 46 receptions, 805 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns. Additionally, Kwofie is also a great blocker and was an important part of the Rhein Fire offense in 2023, deservingly making the All-Star team.
In his second season with the team, Janek Wenke turned himself into the Centurions’ best pass rusher. The 23-year-old recorded 30 total tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in only 10 games.
In 2023, Aleksandar Milanovic once again proved why he is regarded as one of the best offensive tackles in all of Europe. The Vienna Vikings standout was a dominant force again, shutting down opposing pass rushers en route to an undefeated regular season and another All-Star selection.
Even though Darrell Stewart Jr. only came in as an injury replacement four games into the season, the former USFL standout showed right away that he is one of the best receivers out there. With 59 receptions for 754 yards and five touchdowns in eight regular season games and multiple outstanding post-season performances, the wide receiver quickly turned into Stuttgart’s most dangerous weapons.
There was no offensive lineman that has been used in as many ways as Yasir Raji in 2023. The offensive tackle also played as guard and sixth lineman in jumbo tight end sets, occasionally getting targeted in the passing game.
James Brooks was without a doubt the best player on the Prague Lions’ roster in 2023. The 34-year-old veteran recorded 40 total tackles and a team-high 14.5 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks along with a league-high four forced fumbles.
In his first season with Rhein Fire, Marius Kensy established himself as the centerpiece of Richard Kent’s defense. The 25-year-old led the champions with 82 tackles, while also recording nine tackles for loss, three sacks, a forced-fumble, and a pick-six.
Rhein Fire offensive tackle Sven Breidenbach showed once again that he might be the best left tackle in Europe. The 34-year-old was selected as a First-Team All-Star for the second season in a row, proving his value to the team.
