Stuttgart Surge announce QB Reilly Hennessey's return + NFL WR
The Stuttgart Surge have announced the return of veteran quarterback Reilly Hennessey, as well as a new face in american wide receiver Jeff Cotton.
Hennessey continued to be one of the league’s top passers last season, racking up a total of 37 passing touchdowns, 10 rushing touchdowns, 3,084 passing yards and a completion rate of 69.87%. One of the best quarterbacks in Europe will remain the starting quarterback of the Stuttgart Surge and promises the fans:
"2023 we relaunched. 2024 we reloaded. 2025 we redeem. You're going to get everything I got!"
The 29-year-old has high expectations for his third year behind center for the Surge:
"I will continue to push the standard that is Surge Football. Holding myself and those around me to a championship level in all aspects of our preparation and performance.”

Training in the US with Hennessy, is former NFL WR Jeff Cotton, who will be joining Hennessey as the Surge’s WR1 next season. The 27-year-old brings size 188cm and 93kg along with experience spending four seasons in the NFL with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Green Bay Packers, Arizona Cardinals, and Los Angeles Chargers.
Cotton, a former standout at Idaho University, is thrilled about teaming up with Hennessey for his first season in Europe.
