Rhein Fire star Omari Williams makes ELF history

Rhein Fire safety Omari Williams, has been part of several of the ELF’s defining moments as a key player in the league since the inaugural season back in 2021. Yesterday he made history with a crucial interception in the second half moving him to number one all time in career interceptions.

A model of consistency

Whether it was hoisting the ELF’s first championship with the Frankfurt Galaxy, or building the Rhein FIre up from an expansion team to back to back titles, Williams’s tremendous play in the secondary has been a constant.

The Samford University product is a 4X All-Star and three time ELF champion. His ability to return kicks, tackle in the open field, and communicate on the back end of the defense is elite. However, what truly sets apart the ball hawking safety is his ability to change the game with interceptions.

Number 1 All-Time

With his interception of Ben Holmes on Sunday Williams became the ELF’s all-time leader in career interceptions with 14. The 29-year old ELF veteran looks to be far from done causing turnovers as he and the Rhein Fire look to bounce back from Sunday’s loss and continue to chase a three-peat.

Williams and the Rhein Fire will host the Paris Musketeers next week at home.
