Milano Seamen re-sign Rookie of the Year Juan Flores-Calderon
One of the best offensive weapons of the past season leaves free agency. The Milano Seamen have re-signed Rookie of the Year 2023 Juan Flores-Calderon for the upcoming year. At 19-years-old, the wide receiver caught 43 passes for 817 yards and 9 touchdowns in his rookie season with the Italian franchise.
New coaches - better results?
“Last season clearly didn’t go as the team thought. From now on, every one of us must prepare [for] next season as good as possible to show what we can do as a team”, he said regarding the last season’s results.
As a conclusion of their first season in the ELF, the Seamen announced a new head coach in Jim Ward. With Flores-Calderon, he and his staff have now already secured one of the most sought-after players in the league, who could leave a mark in Europe for years to come. The Spaniard is the first player the Seamen announced for 2024.
