ELF Championship: Rhein Fire stars to watch
The ELF Championship is a mere five days away. This year’s championship game will feature a highly anticipated matchup between the defending champion Rhein Fire and the undefeated Vienna Vikings.
Let’s take a look at a few stars to watch on the Rhein Fire as they look to make history and become the ELF’s first ever back -to back champions.
The veteran running back has been the oxygen that has fueled the Rhein Fire all season. The record breaking ball carrier has scored an unfathomable 31 touchdowns this season, more than several ELF teams have done all year. Toonga has averaged 131 yards a game and over 6 yards a carry. If Vienna can stop him they will likely be champions, the problem is no one has stopped him yet.

Clark was the MVP of the 2023 season putting up video game-like numbers, including tossing six touchdowns in last year's championship. This year he’s taken on more of a game manager role often differing to Toonga and the run game. However when he’s asked to convert a big third down Clark has shown time and time again he has the tools to get it done.

Another veteran of the Rhein Fire squad, Williams has built a reputation for himself around the league as a ball hawking centerfield type safety as well as a hard hitter who isn’t afraid to make receivers pay for going over the middle. In the Semi-finals Williams had a clutch interception that changed the entire momentum of the game for the Fire.
The former NFL practice squad player has taken his talents back home to German this season. The young pass rusher has not disappointed putting up 8.5 sacks and 14 tackles for a loss. Expect him to make the most of the championship stage as he hopes to help his team become champions.

Kwofie had a huge championship game in 2023 going for 10 catches, 146 yards and two touchdowns. This year injuries have held back his production but he could have another chance to remind fans he’s still one of the best european receivers in the league on the biggest stage yet again.
