#58 LB Jan-Phillip Bombek. 9 sacks - ELF leader in sacks. Week 6: 1,5 sacks, 3 tackles (2 solo), 2 TFL (7 yards). Played DIV I Football for the Colorado State Rams. Works as a personnel consultant for IT specialists. In an interview before the game against Berlin in Week 4 he told the story that he received a contract offer from the LA Rams but COVID-19 and an expired visa shattered his dream to play in the NFL. Played together with Kendral Ellison (Defensive Coordinator - Sea Devils) for the Hamburg Huskies.  

#4 K/P Philipp Friis Andersen. Spent a short time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2019 preseason). 12 of 13 successful field goals (had 10 in a row - had his first miss against the Panthers). He and Giorgio Tavecchio are the best kickers in the ELF. Founded his own gin-label “Amager Gin” with two friends in 2020.

Players to watch: #1 QB Zach Edwards - Week 6: 254 passing yards, 5 TDs - Edwards was only sacked once against Berlin (Barcelona´s OL improved the protection but Berlin´s DL is not as strong as Frankfurt´s. Hamburg´s DL will be a tough challenge). Season: 5 games, 1398 passing yards (2nd in the ELF), 12 TDs, 58% completion percentage. Played DIV III Football (St. Scholastica) and for the L’Hospitalet Pioners in Spain (the second most successful Spanish team in the national competition).

#5 WR Jean Constant - MVP Week 6: 10 receptions (some incredible ones), 164 receiving yards, 3 TDs - a lot of return yards: Started with an incredible return to Berlin's 19yd-line. The drive resulted in a TD - Barcelona scored in the first 3 minutes of the game like in the week before against Frankfurt. Season: Receiving leader in the ELF: 5 games, 664 yards, 3 TDs, 14.4 average yards per reception.

#8 K Giorgio Tavecchio (Barcelona signed him on the 8th of July) Had an outstanding first game in the ELF. He scored and thus tied his personal NFL record: 56 yards - the same distance as his longest FG in the NFL. Improved the performance on special teams (in Week 5). Week 6: 6/7 PAT 0/1 FG - 5 out of 8 kickoffs resulted in touchbacks. Former NFL kicker, played his first game for the Oakland Raiders in September 2017 - five years after he had signed his first NFL contract with the San Francisco 49ers. Had an outstanding first performance against the Tennessee Titans (4 FG, 2 PAT - NFL Special Teams Player of the Week), he earned the same award in his first game for the Atlanta Falcons in 2018 (3/3 FG and 2 PAT). NFL career stats: 21/26 FG, longest 56 yards. He kept the game ball in 2017 after his outstanding NFL debut.

Head Coach: Adam Rita, 73 years old, born on Kaua´i, Hawaii. 1965-1968 played as a center for Boise State. 1969-1976 Boise State Broncos as coach. Started in 1983 as coach in the CFL for the BC Lions. Inactive from 2004-2011. Worked in 2012 for the first time as a coach in Europe - Prague Panthers, (notable for German broadcast - 2020 Berlin Adler). 4x Grey Cup CFL as coach and two additional times as GM. Adam Rita was a Chicago Bears fan especially when Mike Ditka (NFL champion in 1963) and Gale Sayers (1965-1971) played. He also likes the Cowboys and the 49ers because some of his former players joined those teams later in their careers. As coach he looked up to his mentor Anthony J. Knap (inducted in the Boise State Hall of Fame in 1982).    

Michael Wood is the new Defensive Coordinator - Doug Semones is out for personal reasons. The Dragons published their statement on Tuesday. Special Team Co: PJ Gremaud (worked a few years ago for the Wroclaw Panthers). OL-Coach Guiliano Cattaneo was signed shortly before the game against Frankfurt in Week 5 - the amount of sacks against Berlin was lowered to 1 (Frankfurt had 8 against Barcelona in Week 5).
