Wrocław Panthers sign former Division I linebacker Solomon Brown

With the first signing of the offseason, the Wrocław Panthers franchise gets a playmaker.

The Wrocław Panthers have signed outside linebacker/defensive end Solomon Brown for their 2023 campaign. The 26-year-old American played for the Charleston Southern University from 2015 to 2018 in the FCS and was named a three-time All-American and four-time All-Conference first team player.

Enough football experience to make a difference

For the Panthers, Brown should be a weapon in the pass rush, pass defense and run defense. In his four years in college, he played teams like Alabama Crimson Tide, Florida Gators, Florida State Seminoles, and Coastal Carolina and was one of the pillars of his Buccaneer’s team. Brown is expected to have immediate impact in the defense – that lost players like Darius Robinson and Goran Zec. Dave Likins, defensive coordinator, on the other hand, should be experienced enough to form another noteworthy defense. With players like Solomon Brown on the edge, fans can look forward to solid pressure off the edge.

Dominating stats for the European League of Football?

In his four years in college, the 104 kg and 1.85 m defender had 16 sacks, 49 tackles for loss, two interceptions, 13 passes deflected, five forced fumbles and 278 total tackles for the Buccaneers and with that one of the best players statistically in the Big South Conference.

With a new head coach and possibly offensive coordinator in Dave Christensen, a similar offensive system like in the last two years under now sports director Jakub Samel is expected, but a renewed team should be on the way to hunt after the Championship.
