Wide Receiver Terryon Robinson signs with Cologne Centurions
One of the best American players of last year’s season moves to play for the Cologne Centurions.
The Cologne Centurions have signed wide receiver Terryon Robinson for the upcoming European League of Football season. The wideout ranked seventh in receiving yards, despite only playing six games with the Istanbul Rams. In only 39 receptions, Robinson had 829 yards and eight touchdowns for the Rams, making him a primary weapon for quarterback Isaiah Green. Also joining Robinson from Istanbul is middle linebacker Zachary Blair.
Robinson spent his college days at D1AA Western Carolina University, where he suited up for the Carolina Catamounts. There, he played in eight games with 100+ receiving yards and finished his college career with 230 receptions, 2,839 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns. That makes him one of the program's most successful athletes.
In the off-season, he is joined by two-time Defensive Player of the Year Kyle Kitchens – who will suit up again for opponent Berlin Thunder. For Cologne's General Manager David Drane, the athlete is a great addition to the Centurions 'receiving corps "Terryon was one of the most exciting players in the European League of Football when he came into the league late last season. In his few games, he led the league in multiple categories. He is a game-changing receiver, and we are proud to call him a Centurion!"
Robinson ranks first in yards per game and had several interests in the European League of Football – deciding towards underdog Cologne, who just recently signed their quarterback in Daniel Smith.
“I guarantee there will be many great and exciting games on the field that will make you all proud to be a Cologne Centurions fan. Together with my coaches and teammates, I will train hard to be an unstoppable force in 2023. Thanks to everyone for the support and thanks to the Centurions for the opportunity,” said the 90 kg and 1,80 m receiver.
A walking highlight reel joins the cathedral city.
