#visitklagenfurt: These teams are still in play-off contention

The European League of Football invites to the Championship Game in Klagenfurt on September 25. These four teams are still in the race.

The play-off race for the Klagenfurt crown is in full swing. The play-off teams for the weekend are already in place, and two Austrian teams are still in the line-up for the European League of Football. We present these and the other teams to you further.

The Hamburg Sea Devils entered their second year in the European League of Football. After a loss in the Championship Game last year, the motto was clear: "Unfinished Business". With the new Head Coach Charles Jones, new playmakers like Tim Hänni or Jéan Constant and the pillars of last year, they started the season optimistically. While the very second game against the Barcelona Dragons clouded the mood with a defeat, they won all the other games. Known are the Sea Devils especially for the best defense in defeat as well as the strong running game.

The Sea Devils' opponent is set. The Raiders Tirol travel to the north to Hamburg. For the Raiders the year started with two defeats. Shortly after, they celebrated a series of victories. Both the offense and the defense improved steadily. Head Coach Kevin Herron brings a lot of experience with him, and now also wants to celebrate titles in the European League of Football. Led by quarterback Sean Shelton, the Raiders come through with a cohesive team effort and local talent. The Austrians can play the playoffs.

Barcelona Dragons:

Entering the season as underdogs, the Barcelona Dragons have turned their performance from last year around 180 degrees. If a 3-7 record was enough last year, they lead the Southern Conference with an 8-4 record after expanding the league. Head Coach Andrew Weidinger convinced his players of a common mission and they were able to win the important games. While they have lost twice to the Vikings this season, the third game should be the most successful. Quarterback Zach Edwards, receiver Kyle Sweet and defensive end Alejandro Fernández are the stars of the team. A sworn team.

Vienna Vikings:

The Dragons face a favorite. The Vienna Vikings are considered the favorite to win the title in Klagenfurt. As the second Austrian team, they could make the Championship Game a home game. Chris Calaycay, head coach of the Vikings, had problems with injuries early on, but managed to form a functioning team out of a good squad. Only against the Frankfurt Galaxy and Wroclaw Panthers did the Vikings lose. They were able to win the conference, with every player on the team sacrificing himself for the others. There is no overperformer, the team wins.
