Vienna Vikings add experienced German offensive lineman Matthias Stockamp to their roster

Only a week until the pre-season starts and the Vienna Vikings are ready to start with a bang into their first European League of Football season.

Vienna Vikings add experienced German offensive lineman Matthias Stockamp to their roster

Only a week until the pre-season starts and the Vienna Vikings are ready to start with a bang into their first European League of Football season.

With Matthias Stockamp comes experience and a guy that knows European football like no other. Stockamp started playing football in 2002 with the Bielefeld Bulldogs, than travelled to play for the Truyes Pygargues, the Seinajoki Crocodiles, Nice Dauphines, Wasa Royals, Badalona Dracs and Triangle Razorbacks where he lastly won the championship trophy in Denmark. Stockamp brings 145 kilograms and 1,90 meters to the table and is ready to take on his biggest challenge.

“I can't wait to compete in practice and in games with some of the best football players in all of Europe. Challenge myself and grow not only as an individual but also as a team. And the goal is definitely the championship.” said the offenive lineman enthusiastically and added: “Since I can remember, the Vikings have always beena role model team and a powerhouse in Europe on and off the field and it's an honor to be able to play in purple this year. After playing in the All-Star game and experiencing the level of skill the players have, there was no other option. I can't wait to mess myself with some of the best players from all over Europe and battle for the championship.” Stockamp helped out the American team on the All- Star Game with the European League of Football, now wants to make a name for himself.
