Rhein Fire reacts to loss: Changes in the coaching staff and more

Hamburg Sea Devils showed a dominant performance against Rhein Fire. Disappointing for the Rhein Fire officials.

Rhein Fire went into the home game against the Hamburg Sea Devils with a different expectation. The 40-16 loss was the third defeat of the season for Rhein Fire. Even though a new quarterback, Jadrian Clark, had signed with Fire shortly before the game. Now came the big bang. In addition to players, coaches also had to take their hats.

Changes in roster and coaching staff

Kickers Daniel Schuhmacher and Sebastian van Santen, offensive lineman Jan-Niclas Dahlbeck, wide receiver Jakob Bojko and running back Jason Aguemon were released. More could follow by Wednesday night's active-deal line, and replacements could be on the way.

Edit: Rhein Fire already signed new players.

The following coaches also had to leave: Stefan Nickel, kickers coach, Pascal Hohenberg, defensive line coach, Steffen Breidenbach, quarterbacks coach, Oyeniran Ojo, running backs coach and Erkan Tezkol, athletics coach.

How will they line up?

Officially, a press release states, "The Rhein Fire organization thanks the players and coaches for their dedication over the past few months and wishes them all the best athletically, and especially personally, as they move forward in life." How will Rhein Fire line up against the Barcelona Dragons?
