Rhein Fire general manager Patricia Klemm leaves franchise in October

Change in Rhein Fire's front office.

The Rhein Fire management announced Tuesday evening that general manager Patricia Klemm will no longer represent the German franchise's front office beginning in October.

"We very much regret Patricia's decision but can understand her decision as well. Since Patrica took over as general manager last December, she has been active for Fire virtually around the clock. For free time and especially time on the golf course, she had no time left. In this respect, she hopes to be able to restore a better work-life balance now. For the work done, we all say a heartfelt THANK YOU," the franchise announced via a press release.

A circle closes for Rhein Fire

Her successor will be 52-year-old Tom Aust. Aust had previously worked continuously for Fire from 1995 to 2007 during the World League, NFL Europe and NFL Europe in the public relations area and was also responsible for the press work of the international youth projects in the last years of the league.

Aust on his new role: "For me, this closes a circle. I would never have dreamed of this 15 years ago and now it is becoming a reality. I hope that we will have many more great football celebrations in the coming years, such as the home game against the Galaxy. That was incredibly impressive and the atmosphere was reminiscent of the old days. But now it's a new era and we want to shape it again with Rhein Fire. Patricia, together with the rest of the staff and the owners, laid the foundation for this in the first year of the new foundation and really put many exclamation marks. I would like to continue that now and am totally looking forward to the new challenge."
