The Barcelona Dragons have signed former Leipzig Kings quarterback Conor Miller for the upcoming European League of Football season. The 27-year-old US-American is known to the European football scene, playing for the Cologne Crocodiles in the GFL, the Graz Giants in the AFL and Flash Courneuve in the FFFA.

Bad luck last season

Last year, Miller signed with the Leipzig Kings after starting quarterback Jordan Barlow got hurt early into last season. Miller had 541 yards, five touchdowns, three interceptions in three games before getting injured in a game against the Hamburg Sea Devils.

The Florida Athlantic University alumn should come in healthy to start the offseason in May. He already went through recovery in Spain, being a huge FC Barcelona fan as well. The Dragons could be the perfect place for Miller to feel home. Coming in handy: Austrian girlfriend Kora Marina Schaberl plays for the OCISA Haro Rioja Vóley volleyball team in Spain, now having the chance to play in the same country as her pro quarterback boyfriend.

New football team, new chance

The European League of Football is familiar to Miller not only from playing for the Leipzig Kings, but also from playing for Team USA in the first season’s All-Star game in 2021. For the Barcelona Dragons, Miller is taking over after the departure of Zach Edwards at quarterback. Miller's team could look brand new, while many players will get a chance to prove themselves away from Catalonia next year. For the American, it is a chance to draw the love of the emotional fanbase.
