Norman Ossohou joins Wrocław Panthers at running back

The Panthers have caught one of the more dynamic running backs Europe has to offer.

With Norman Ossohou, the Wrocław Panthers bring in another French running back to the continental football league. At 1,74 m and 84 kg, Ossohou has all physical gifts needed to start in the European League of Football. The former Bishop Gaiters, a Canadian University team, started playing in France with the Asnieres Molosses – even starring in the U19 French national team in years prior.

Ossohou went on to play in Canada at the collegiate level for three years, having 398 yards and 5.2 yards average per attempt. Now, he follows three already signed running backs in Dawid Brzozowski, Kamil Kotlarz, and Adam Skakowski at the Panthers in Poland.

Jakub Samel gets a new French running back

“Norman is another French player in our team with a past at Canadian university. His physical achievements and university experience will undoubtedly have a positive impact on his performance on the field. Norman has a very good combination of agility and strength, which is the key to success as a running back”, the Panthers sports director Jakub Samel commented.

Have you seen this yet?

Ossohou follows French colleague Philéas Pasqualini who had a great first season with the Panthers in 2021, followed by a rather disappointing season in 2022. Don’t scratch your eyes if you’d recognize both suiting up in the European League of Football this upcoming season.
