The Vienna Vikings announced the signing of German defensive end Dominic Siegel to their team for the 2022 season, as reported by the Austrian franchise.

“Let me start by saying You can never have enough dangerous pass rushers. Adding Dominic [Siegel], one of the GFL’s top defensive ends and pass rushers, to our defense is a huge asset”, Vikings head coach Chris Calaycay noted. He added: “He is such a talented and athletic defensive lineman with the work ethic that will only allow him to develop further. Frankly, I can’t wait to see what we can do with this defensive line group”.

The 192cm tall and 115kg heavy defensive end chose to play in the European League of Football to play amongst the best: “It’s very good international competition. As a player, you want that”.

It will be interesting to see how the defensive line and the defensive unit for the Vikings develops in 2022 and how the Austrian team tacks up against other franchises in the European League of Football.
