European League of Football signs contract with the National Anti Doping Agency (NADA)

Together for honest sport! The European League of Football has signed a contract with the National Anti Doping Agency (NADA) and joins the doping control system of the Bonn-based foundation with immediate effect. Already in the premiere season of the newly founded league, which starts on June 19, comprehensive competition controls will be carried out by NADA.

"We are very happy that NADA will support us from the beginning with its doping control system and by taking over the results management. As organizing and conducting fair, safe and clean sports is one of the primary of our league, the establishment of a transparent and consistent anti-doping system was out of the question from the very beginning," says Zeljko Karajica, Managing Director of the European League of Football.

The Anti-Doping Agency is a leader in this field; since 2015, it has taken over all the of the sports organized in the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB), including the soccer league Bundesliga. "We look forward to working with the European Football League to promote fair play. The goal is to work together to support and protect clean athletes from the start of the new league," said Dr. Lars Mortsiefer, member of the board of directors and Chief Legal Advisor of NADA.

The European League of Football kicks off its inaugural season on June 19, with Berlin Thunder, Hamburg Sea Devils, Frankfurt Galaxy, Cologne Centurions, Stuttgart Surge and the Leipzig Kings from Germany as well as the Barcelona Dragons from Spain and the Panthers Wroclaw from Poland, eight teams are competing.
