Deep Threat: Centurions wide receiver Louis Geyer on long downs

One of the latest additions to the Centurions receiver squad was one of the most dangerous players down the field in 2021.

German wide receiver Louis Geyer did not have the most receiving yards or touchdowns in the inaugural season of the European League of Football. However, he shined on downs with more than seven yards to go.

Of his 450 total receiving yards in 2021, Geyer recorded 384 on downs with more than seven yards to go. Although this only ranks him tenth best in the league, those 384 yards make up more than 85% of his total yards over the entire season.

What stands out most about Geyer are his yards per catch. With 19.2 yards per catch on downs with more than seven yards to go, the German NFL-hopeful proved to be a dangerous and reliable weapon when his name was called.

Now, Geyer joins American wide receiver Quinten Pounds and one of the best backfields in the European League of Football featuring 2021 MVP Madre London, Dean Tanwani and other talented running backs. It will be interesting to see what the German standout-athlete is able to accomplish with steady quarterback play and a dominant running game in 2022.
