Championship Game Preview – Wide Receivers

The European League of Football Championship Game will have some great highlight plays in store on offense. Who are the wide receivers to look out for?

Vienna Vikings

Wide receiver: Jordan Bouah, Kimi Linnainmaa, Michael Schachermayr, Marian Deininger, Mike Breuler, Johannes Schütz, Felix Reisacher

Player to watch: Jordan Bouah

The Vienna Vikings have an explosive receiving corps despite losing Florian Bierbaumer at the beginning of the season after a breakout game with three receiving touchdowns.

However, Jordan Bouah, Kimi Linnainmaa, and Mike Breuler have been nothing but outstanding for quarterback Jackson Erdmann. Although Bouah only ranks 13th in receiving yards over the course of the 2022 regular season (680), the Italian athlete is always ready to make a play down the field. Just think about the game-winning touchdown late in the fourth quarter against the Dragons in Spain.

Next to Bouah, the Vikings have other talented receiver like Linnainmaa and Breuler. Look out for Erdmann to distribute the ball all over the field on Sunday to keep the Sea Devils defense on their toes.

Hamburg Sea Devils

Wide receiver: Jéan Constant, Lamar Jordan III, Benjamin Mau, Jean-Claude Madin Cerezo, Tobias Nill, Tim Albrecht, Lukas Rehder, Nassim Amroun, Diego Antonio Arboleda Sanchez, Bais Kouanda

Player to watch: Jéan Constant

The Hamburg Sea Devils are the only team in the entire league that has two American wide receivers on their roster. Former Barcelona Dragon Jéan Constant and former NFL player Lamar Jordan III were terrorizing defenses all season long. For them, it is all about the quarterback’s performance and how well Salieu Ceesay will be able to use their speed and athleticism.

For Constant, he almost broke the 1000 receiving yards mark for a second straight year but fell short by just 37 yards. However, the former Division I player will look to be all over the field on Sunday to find mismatches all day long.

But next to Constant and Jordan III, the Sea Devils have experienced wide receivers like Benjamin Mau and Jean-Claude Madin Cerezo who were with the team last year and already know how it feels like to lose the Championship Game.

Will they use their experience to turn the game into a win for the Sea Devils this time around?
