Berlin Thunder sign American defensive back Robby Kendall

The Berlin Thunder put pen to paper with their fourth American import player!

With Robby Kendall, a versatile weapon and return-specialist, is joining the Berlin Thunder in the European League of Football this season.

Kendall is more than excited to be part of the league and the Thunder organization: “I’m ecstatic to be joining the Berlin Thunder, as well as joining the most professional American football league in all of Europe”. He adds: “I know the owners, the management, the coaching staff, and everybody else involved put in a lot of work this off-season to build a championship organization. I can’t wait to get to Berlin and start putting in work with my coaches and teammates”.

The former Division I player started his football career with at Butte Junior College before attending Sacramento State University. Despite his college experience, the American standout athlete is not new to the European football scene as he played for the Paderborn Dolphins, the Elmshorn Fighting Pirates, and the Düsseldorf Panther before.

With his 183cm and 85kg, Kendall will play a large role on the football field for the Thunder, as Berlin’s head coach Johnny Schmuck explains: “With Robby Kendall, we’ll bring an experienced playmaker with a high football IQ to our secondary. He is an allrounder and therefore very versatile”. Schmuck added: “He is the perfect piece to our defensive puzzle, and we are happy that he is on board”.

With reigning Defensive Player of the Year Kyle Kitchens and a lot of other talented players on the Thunder roster, Kendall will be ready to make some noise this coming June!
